BUCKMINSTER FREE FLIGHT GALA 2022
The FFTC has arranged an ‘unofficial’ Free Flight gala, to be held at the BMFA
National Centre on Sunday November 6th, starting at 10 AM
(backup date Nov. 13, see below).
There will be competitions for;
Classic A1 Glider
BMFA Classic Glider (50 metre towline)
Combined P30/ pre- 1970 Coupe d’ Hiver
E36 (all flights 5 sec. motor run)
Mini Vintage
Combined HLG/ CLG
Additional classes will be run by Peterborough MAC/ SAM 35. Sport
flyers/ trimming welcome.
This event is not an official BMFA contest and does not count towards
senior or junior championships. Prizes and certificates will be awarded
to third place. To accomodate the site, some departure from BMFA
rules may be required but the object is to run a ‘normal’ contest. In the
event of an unflyable weather forecast on Friday Nov. 4th, the
event will be postponed until Nov. 13th. so it is vital to check
the website or contact the organisers before travelling.
Flying at Buckminster costs £10 for the day which includes
entry fees to all the above contests.
